About Us

"Educational Excellence at the Heart of the Community" since 2006!
Message From Our Director

Welcome to Darlington County Institute of Technology where we are creating tomorrow's experts.  At DCIT we provide opportunities for students to develop foundational skills through hands-on and project-based learning so they can become productive citizens in the workforce.   Students are exposed to  various career opportunities through apprenticeships, internships, and/or higher education. Upon completion of a pathway at DCIT, students leave with certifications and marketable skills for a career.

We believe that education is a community responsibility, so partnerships with families, local businesses, and higher education are key to creating opportunities for our students.  We hope you will reach out with any ideas, questions, or possible partnership ideas.

The future is right here at DCIT and it is looking bright!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Cortney Gehrke
Director of Career Readiness
